Bamboo, like hemp, is a natural repellent to insects so it requires no pesticides in its cultivation. It also has great anti-microbial properties and is one of the most plentiful and renewable plants in the world.
Jute is another natural pest repellant, grown without the use of pesticides. One of the strongest natural fibers, jute is also carbon-dioxide neutral and naturally decomposable.
Natural latex rubber, extracted from rubber trees, is a better and more sustainable alternative to petroleum-based synthetic rubber.
